I'm from East Brunswick, New Jersey. I stayed on the east coast and went to Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. While at SU, I majored in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and Psychology, with a minor in marketing. During my time in college, I studied abroad for a semester in London, which gave me the opportunity to travel the world. I graduated from Syracuse a semester early so I could start my career as a journalist-- which landed me here in the Ozarks.
I spent two summers interning in New York City. As the digital intern for NBC 4 New York, I was responsible for pitching stories, writing content for the website, conducting interviews and editing videos. The following summer I interned with the investigative unit at CBS News. While I was there I made cold calls, did background research and watched long form investigate pieces I worked on with producers get turned into national segments.
I moved to Springfield to be a part of the team at KY3 in March of 2020. I moved here just at the start of the coronavirus pandemic so it made exploring my new home a bit more challenging. So far I've enjoyed getting to know all of my coworkers and all of the welcoming people across the Ozarks. I've had a passion for journalism since I was 12-years-old and I look forward to telling the stories of my fellow community members.
When I'm not working, I would love to spend more time exploring my new home in the Ozarks! Feel free to send me any recommendations of places I should see or restaurants I should try.
