She is a Cassville, Mo. native. She is a graduate of Missouri State University where she received her Bachelor’s in Journalism. While completing her degree, Madison was a staff reporter for Missouri State University’s newspaper, “The Standard." She also anchored the school's newscast, “Ozarks News Brief.” In high school, Madison was heavily involved in speech and debate and qualified for nationals in the ”Informative Speaking” event. She was also involved in theatre and enjoyed public speaking opportunities on the side. It was through these experiences, she realized journalism would be a great career for her.

Outside of news, Madison has a love for the outdoors, an eye for fashion, and a heart for service. While competing for the title of Miss Missouri during college, Madison created her own platform that advocated for children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She worked directly with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds for kids in need. She was awarded the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker Award after raising over $5,000.

In April 2019, Madison co-wrote and published a children’s book called "Gracie's Giftability." Madison says people are her passion and getting the chance to tell their stories every day is the most rewarding part of this job.
