Chasity Maynard

Chasity Maynard is a Digital Content Producer at WCTV. She graduated from the University of Florida. Before joining WCTV, Chasity worked at the Tallahassee Democrat, the Orlando Sentinel, The Gainesville Sun and WUFT News.

Chasity is a leader and innovator in visual and multimedia storytelling, receiving top honors across the state of Florida and the country. She was a finalist in the Hearst Photojournalism Championship, in which only six young storytellers across the country are selected to compete. Other notable recognitions she has received include the Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Florida Magazine Association Charlie Award.

Through a creative use of all forms of storytelling — photos, data, investigations, and video — Chasity aims to produce compelling, meaningful and compassionate stories. She is passionate about supporting underserved communities and creating understandable and accessible articles for all audiences.
